Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok has introduced a colorful new chapter to Bangkok’s afternoon tea scene with “Dreams in Color,” a seasonal experience at 1897 Lounge combining pastry craftsmanship, artistic expression and social purpose. Available from 4 August 2026, the collaboration with Artstory By Autistic Thai transforms original illustrations by talented autistic artists into an imaginative collection of savories, pastries and gifts.

Created in partnership with Artstory, a project supported by the Autistic Thai Foundation, the experience draws inspiration from artists Paveelada “Beam” Anrungruangpan and Weerachot “Karn” Kasonboa. Colorful Creations Take Centre Stage
The experience begins with savory creations including beetroot-cured salmon with edible flowers and a crab cone complemented by lemon caviar, alongside other refined bites inspired by the artists’ colorful world.
Freshly baked classic scones and apricot-roasted macadamia scones follow, accompanied by raspberry jam, passion fruit curd and Devonshire clotted cream. The sweet selection introduces an especially vivid finale, featuring butterfly pea flower with blueberry compote, caramel entremet with white peach marmalade, hibiscus raspberry with vanilla cream, and lemon yoghurt mousse with a pistachio diamond cookie.

Another playful highlight is a dragon fruit creation inspired by one of Beam’s recognizable characters, bringing the visual language of the artwork directly onto the afternoon tea stand.
Limited-Edition Scarf and Live Harp Music

The afternoon tea is served daily from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, while live harp performances from Tuesday through Sunday add another layer of atmosphere to the 1897 Lounge experience. Prices are subject to a 10% service charge and prevailing government tax.
Art Extends Beyond the Afternoon Tea Table
The collaboration continues in the hotel lobby through a special ART Promenade exhibition featuring 16 original paintings. Works by Beam and Karn appear alongside creations by three additional Artstory By Autistic Thai artists, allowing visitors to explore different perspectives and creative styles beyond the menu.
The initiative also forms part of Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok’s five-year Growing Kind Hearts CSR programme. Under the 2026 theme, “See the World Differently,” the project uses hospitality, art and gastronomy to encourage empathy and inclusion while providing meaningful visibility for autistic artists.
