Only days after opening its doors in Bangkok, the restaurant has been drawing impressive crowds, with long queues forming during peak dining hours as curious guests flock to experience its much-talked-about menu. This Bangkok Hotel News report found that many early diners have been praising not only the authentic flavors and freshness of the food but also the attentive service, elegant surroundings and exceptional value for money. In a district already crowded with Indian restaurants, Barbeque Nation has quickly distinguished itself by offering an interactive dining experience that combines entertainment with premium cuisine, creating a fresh alternative for both Bangkok residents and international visitors.
A Restaurant Brand That Revolutionized Casual Dining
Founded in Bombay (Mumbai), India, in 2006, Barbeque Nation transformed the casual dining landscape by introducing its innovative Live Grill on the Table concept. Rather than simply ordering food from a menu, diners become part of the cooking process, grilling skewers of marinated meats, seafood and vegetables over built-in charcoal grills installed directly into every table.
The concept proved an immediate success and has since expanded into one of India’s largest restaurant chains, operating more than 200 outlets across over 80 cities. Today, Barbeque Nation has established an international presence in eight countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, Oman, Bahrain, Sri Lanka, Saudi Arabia and now Thailand.

The Hyatt Regency Bangkok Sukhumvit was selected as the location for the brand’s highly anticipated Thai debut, placing the restaurant within one of Bangkok’s busiest hospitality and entertainment districts, only a short walk from BTS Nana Station.
Interactive Dining That Sets It Apart
Unlike traditional buffet restaurants where guests simply help themselves from serving counters, Barbeque Nation offers a dining experience that begins the moment diners are seated.
Every table features an embedded charcoal grill where freshly prepared skewers are served directly by restaurant staff. Guests can finish cooking the items to their preferred level while brushing them with marinades and seasonings supplied by the restaurant.
The restaurant manager Amit at Barbeque Nation Bangkok explained the philosophy behind the concept of the restaurant, saying: “This buffet spread is the core of Barbeque Nation because we want to offer an experience—not just a meal and service like other restaurants. We want every visit to feel unique so guests never experience the same monotonous feeling.” That philosophy is evident throughout the restaurant, where the emphasis is placed as much on participation and enjoyment as it is on the food itself.
An Extensive Selection of Live Grilled Starters
The live grills from the centerpiece of every meal and feature an impressive range of dishes that continue arriving at the table until guests are completely satisfied.
Among the most popular non-vegetarian selections are the classic Chicken Tikka, succulent Peri Peri Chicken Wings, perfectly seasoned Fish Tikka, flavor-packed Mutton Seekh Kebab, and juicy Chilli Oyster Prawns grilled over charcoal.

Another signature favorite is the much-loved Cajun Spiced Potatoes, crispy fried potatoes topped with a creamy Cajun sauce that has become something of a Barbeque Nation institution.
A Buffet Offering Something for Everyone
