Transport Minister Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn said approximately 1,800 bags had been dispatched for delivery by Wednesday, representing only 18% of the backlog. Thousands of passengers’ belongings therefore remained caught in the recovery process. And the mess is still ongoing.
Officials expected clearance to take another three to four days, with teams aiming to handle up to 2,000 bags daily.

Officials were also seeking to keep cargo moving at reduced capacity after Thai Airways announced a temporary suspension of cargo acceptance from October 1–6.
